Q. What’s all this? COLOUR? Full-blown, pass-me-my-sunglasses colour? On Black? On THIS blog? Wha? You’ve gone mad. That’s what’s happened.
A. This is the Babylon scarf. I've been stopped in the street by women asking me where I got it. Even the girls in stores like Chanel and Louis Vuitton* stop me with disturbing reverence to find out where they can get one. And then I tell them where and that they'll have to wait a little while. And then they come over all Hermes Birkin about it.
This scarf is part of something that we've been working on for a while, and which will imminently become the fabric of the world wide web. But not on this site. But very close to this site. Clicking distance. Suspense. Gun shot. Black out. And then there will be a fanfare, a pass-me-my-sunglasses-and-pray-for-an-eclipse fanfare.
* ok, ok, it was only the once that I was in said stores. My clumsy grammar suggests that I'm some sort of label groupie. Not true. Though true about all the stopping and asking.
