FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
 
I'VE JUST BOUGHT SOMETHING BUT I'VE CHANGED MY MIND. CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER?

 

 You are entitled to cancel your order for any reason within 7 days of purchase. If the item has already been dispatched, then we will issue a refund, provided that all items are returned new and unused and in their original packaging.

 

WHEN WILL YOU DISPATCH MY ORDER?

   

We will dispatch your order the same day if it is placed before 4pm (GMT). Thereafter we will dispatch it the next day.  We will dispatch your order via 1st Class Royal Mail. In the event of a postal strike we will use an alternative carrier.
 

Our goal is that you are satisfied with the item or items that you have ordered. In order that it gets to you, please carefully verify your delivery details at the Checkout.


WILL MY ORDER REQUIRE A SIGNATURE ON DELIVERY?

 

Your order will be sent to the delivery address that you have provided.  For items over £100, a signature is required. Therefore please make sure that there is someone to sign for your parcel. If there is not, you will be able to pick up your order from your local Royal Mail Delivery Office.

HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN YOU HAVE SENT MY ORDER?

   

You will receive an email from bright@black.co.uk  notifying you when your order has been dispatched.

HOW MUCH IS DELIVERY TO THE UK?

 

For orders to the UK, delivery is FREE. In the event of a postal strike by the Royal Mail, we use an alternative carrier.
 

N.B: If the FREE UK Delivery option is chosen in the 'Shipping Rates' section of the Checkout despite the delivery address entered existing outside the UK, Black will charge its customers the appropriate delivery charge. That is, for shipping addresses in Europe the charge will be £7 and for the wider world £13.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO RETURN MY ORDER?    

If you wish to return your order, you are entitled to do so, for any reason within 30 days following delivery of the item(s).

HOW DO I RETURN MY ORDER?

 

If you'd like to return an item(s) please fill in the returns form enclosed in your package. On the returns form is a label with the address of our returns department: Black.co.uk, PO Box 655, East Grinstead, RH19 4UJ. Attach this label to the mailing bag with the items you ordered inside (you can use the one in which we dispatched your original order) and send to us using Royal Mail Recorded Delivery.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR POSTAGE IF I AM RETURNING MY ORDER?

 

BrightByBlack.co.uk will reimburse you for the postage if the item(s) we sent you was not what you ordered or if the item(s) is flawed.

DO I NEED PROOF OF POSTAGE WHEN RETURNING MY ORDER?

 

 You must obtain proof of postage. Without this, returning goods that get lost in the post cannot be refunded or exchanged.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY RETURN TO BE PROCESSED? 

 

We aim to process your return the day it arrives.

Please note: If the item was bought at a discounted rate under our Club Bright loyalty scheme or in a promotion or sale and you wish to return it, your account will be credited with the discounted amount.

Additionally, if you return an item that you bought using members points, we will credit your member's account for the points used in the transaction. However, subsequent points earned in the transaction will be debited from your member's account.

WILL IT TAKE LONG TO GET MY REFUND?

 

Goods are refunded within the 30-day cancellation period.
 
 ARE ALL PRODUCTS REFUNDABLE/EXCHANGABLE?

 

If item(s) returned to us appears to have been used we will send the item(s) back to you without a refund.

Except in relation to faulty goods the following exceptions apply:

Bespoke goods, pierced earrings, hair accessories, lingerie, nightwear.
 
We cannot refund money to anyone except the person who paid for the original order.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO EXCHANGE MY ORDER?

 

If you would like to exchange your item for another from our range, you have 30 days from the date of delivery to return the product.

 

HOW DO I EXCHANGE MY ORDER?
 

Please follow carefully our guidelines below on returning products:

1. Complete the Returns/Exchange Form included in your package and indicate that you would like to exchange the item.
2. Attach the label (addressed to BrightByBlack.co.uk - again you will find this on the dispatch note) to the mailing bag, with the item(s) enclosed inside.
3.Take your parcel to your nearest Post Office. Please obtain proof of postage when returning a parcel to us and keep a record of this, should your parcel go missing in the post.
