A stunning and striking luxurious shawl in graduated stripes from narrow 0.5 cm stripes at one end to 6cm stripes at the other end. The delicate weave of black and cream in the stripes results in a charcoal grey effect rather than a solid black.
Hand spun and hand woven, The Ring Shawl, or Wedding Ring Shawl, is the jewel in the cashmere crown; so called because the cashmere is so fine that even a 200 x 100cm shawl will pass through a wedding ring. Taking around 200 hours to produce each shawl is individually made in Kashmir using long established skills. In one corner is a discreetly embroidered initial, usually in pink or orange. This is the signature of the person who made it.
