'Dégradé' is a dyeing process in which one colour bleeds into the other. This makes for a bold and intense appearance, particularly when the colours are rich - such as they are in this black and magenta pashmina shawl. The effect is that one side of the shawl is jet black and the other, deep magenta. In the middle the colours mellow and fade and it is this contrast which creates a cosmopolitan appeal - evoking black slate Manhattan bars and glimmering night-time in SoHo.
The shawl is hand-spun and hand-woven from finest cashmere in a textural birds-eye weave. No fringeing or tassels, this can be worn wrapped around the shoulders, bunched up around the neck or casually draped across the body.
