Blue sky dressing - capture the bursting bright bliss of summer with this Sky Cashmere Pashmina Shawl. Created using the dégradé dyeing technique, which allows two colours to bleed into each other, the effect is of the intensity of bright blue sky, mellowed with cloudy off-white. Made from hand-spun and hand-woven supremely soft and lightweight cashmere, wear this shawl with cool monochromes such as black and white or rev up the colour further and mix with electric blue and magenta pink.

What is a Ring Shawl? A Ring Shawl is so called because the cashmere from which it is made is so fine that a shawl can be threaded through a wedding ring. It is this unique fineness that allows the shawl to be worn through the seasons. Like cotton and silk, cashmere is a natural fibre and adapts to the body temperature of the wearer. Therefore, in the height of summer, it cools and in the dead of winter, it warms. The reason these shawls are handspun and handwoven is that the yarn is so fragile a machine would break the fibres. |
