The calming beauty of Japanese art, which takes much of its inspiration from nature, is often seen at its best using the refined technique of painting on silk. Although the tradition of silk painting as an art form originated in India and spread through Eastern Asia, Japan perfected methods of silk production and developed its own style of silk painting.
We have designed our own take on the elegance of this Japanese art form with The Japanese Trilogy, a collection of three original silk scarf designs reflecting Japanese culture. Whilst not painted on silk they have been expertly printed on 100% silk by one of our favourite silk scarf producers in Italy. Each one features a monochrome palette with a classic accent in red.
